Delhi/NCR: Yashoda Medicity has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkistan City, to establish a structured framework for cooperation in advanced medical care, patient referrals, healthcare training and knowledge exchange.
The three-year agreement will facilitate access to specialised and quaternary healthcare in India for patients from Turkistan, while enabling second opinions, tele-consultations, treatment planning, Medical Value Travel support, clinical training and knowledge exchange among healthcare professionals.
The collaboration between Yashoda Medicity and the Turkistan Health Care Department is aimed at creating a defined pathway for patients from Turkistan who require specialised treatment in India.
The agreement will also open avenues for cross-border clinical consultations and healthcare professional development.
The MoU comes amid growing healthcare and Medical Value Travel ties between India and Central Asia, with Kazakhstan emerging as an important market for patients seeking specialised treatment in India.
The 4th India-Central Asia Dialogue, held in June 2025, identified healthcare and medical tourism as areas for deeper cooperation, providing a broader India-Central Asia context for the agreement.
Yashoda Medicity to Facilitate Access to Specialised and Quaternary Care
Under the three-year framework, Yashoda Medicity will create a structured pathway for patients from Turkistan requiring complex medical interventions to access specialised tertiary and quaternary care in India.
The collaboration will cover services including second opinions, tele-consultations and treatment planning.
The quaternary care capabilities of Yashoda Medicity span multiple specialised medical disciplines, including cancer care, cardiac sciences, neurosciences, gastroenterology and liver sciences, robotic and minimal access surgery, nephrology and renal transplant, urology and critical care.
To streamline the international patient journey, the two sides will explore coordination for visas, appointments and admissions, subject to applicable laws. Yashoda Medicity will also designate a Nodal Officer to facilitate seamless coordination under the collaboration.

Healthcare Training and Knowledge Exchange
The agreement between Yashoda Medicity and Turkistan City also focuses on healthcare capacity building.
The collaboration will support short- and long-term training programmes, clinical observerships and fellowships for doctors, nurses and paramedical professionals from Turkistan.
The partnership will further facilitate knowledge sharing in hospital management and quality systems. Through these initiatives, healthcare professionals from Turkistan will have opportunities for clinical learning and professional development.
The Turkistan Health Care Department will support patient referrals, coordination and the nomination of healthcare professionals. Meanwhile, Yashoda Medicity will provide preferential facilitation to department-referred patients, subject to availability.

The MoU provides a broader institutional framework for Yashoda Medicity to build on this experience and strengthen cooperation with Turkistan City.
India’s growing Medical Value Travel ecosystem, including initiatives such as the AYUSH Visa, further supports the collaboration.
Yashoda Medicity to Support Tele-consultations and Treatment Planning
The technology-enabled infrastructure at Yashoda Medicity includes robotic surgery, advanced imaging and radiation oncology technologies, as well as an AI-enabled E-ICU Command Centre for real-time patient monitoring and remote clinical oversight.
These capabilities complement the MoU’s provisions for tele-consultations and treatment planning. The agreement also places emphasis on patient confidentiality, data protection, applicable medical ethics and privacy standards.
Through the three-year framework, Yashoda Medicity and the Republic of Kazakhstan, Turkistan City, will cooperate across patient referrals, specialised and quaternary care access, tele-consultations, treatment planning, Medical Value Travel support, clinical training and knowledge exchange.
